Except “son” is a girl!
Maybe it’s the big one, who is the son and as for father, maybe he used to be, but decided to change that. It’s a modern world, you know.
ummm, this is clearly not a son.
As the others said, that’s a GIRL puppy. So it’s “Like father like daughter.”
Unless dad is mommy. Perhaps “The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree would work better.”
And I thought it was bad that people keep captioning my dog, Minnie, as a boy dog. Despite all the pink stuff I buy her. This one clearly shows the puppy is a girl, not a boy, and yet is still miscaptioned.
Does is really matter??? It’s still cute and funny.
Yes, yes it does because it makes it not funny. It takes you out of the moment. It keeps you from being able to suspend your disbelief. So yes, it matters a LOT. Because it’s NOT funny.
Gender switching for comical purposes is only funny in Monty Python.
How sad for you that something so small and petty can spoil your whole outlook.
When I was a kid, the opening credits of the movie Black Beauty ruined the entire movie for me because the foal was a filly and not a colt. I just could not get past that annoying little detail. Then the movie continued on casting an arabian, thoroughbred, and quarter horses as one horse. Drove me bananas. Details. Some of us more annoying types pay attention.
first of all…maybe i’m trippin’ but I see something hanging there on that doggie. it might be the floor in the background but it looks like it’s ATTACHED to the dog.
Second of all, the saying is like father like son. NOT like mother like daughter or like father like daughter
Maybe I’m trippin’ but I think it’s time to include mothers and daughters, especially when anitimically correct.
Regardless of semantics, I have a Boxer puppeh, and she ALWAYS has that look…lol….CUTIE PIES!
Awe – her lil girly parts…lol.
