this dog is NOT for everyone, a two year old in a cute fox body, aloof & not cuddly
please read about on website first

i just googloled it. puurrrrfect for my mobile home, but not to sure about how they respond to other pets. The idea is to get a goggie and kitteh at same time or therebouts. I dunno. howse won’t be reddy fur munths.
Does anyone know the breed of this doggie? ;-/
Shiba Inu. Japanese in origin. That’s what everyone is talking about – shibas.
Not the best choice of dog for just anyone. They are a Japanese fighting dog, can be pretty unpredictable. I’ve met some very sweet ones but they give you NO warning before trying to rip your arm off.
Shiba inu is NOT a fighting dog…
please research breed info carefully before getting one!

here’s ya goes.
The only dog I’ve ever met that I didn’t like was a shiba innu.
What a nasty beast he was. It wasn’t the training, he was just rotten to the core.
Shibas are GREAT dogs! I do rescue work, and support Shiba Rescue. I liked Marcy’s post above, do the research as you would with any dog. My two are trained, sweet, great with kids, dogs, love humans and love to chase the itteh bitteh kittehs lol. The Croc Hunter Steve Irwin had one, and claimed Shiba Inus were “the best kept secret in the dog world”. Very true! NOT for everybody, and I am so glad I am not everybody
is it me…..
Or is StarFox angry??
Could anyone tell me what breed of dog this is?
Shiba Inu. They give you no warning before doing things that end up with you in the hospital.
Shiba haters! Listen, get informed … I have two Shiba Inus who are VERY CUDDLY. I volunteer at the MSPCA here in Boston. I donate to SHIBA RESCUE. I hear this all the time in rescue about MANY breeds of dogs. It’s how they are treated and their genetics. Nature vs Nurture, it’s probably a bit of both. I don’t want to debate about it, but something had to be said in favor of Shiba Inus after the stuff I read here. Does anybody have a Shiba Inu here? (and not a friend or relative that’s shiba did such and such …) Step up because I am also a trainer and would be happy to help you if there is a problem. Peace out!
That is truly one adorable Shiba Inu Puppy, Shiba are very sweet and lovable, especially when you treat them with love. They are not fighting dogs (how cruel), they were bred for hunting and food (yuch!). I have two and they are awesome little pals. They do require a lot of love and patience but are truly worth it.
ShibaMom: I do not have a shiba inu but I study dog’s deeply and I know the nature of these dog’s. They are very sweet and gentle. But, they can be definsive sometime’s. I have a american eskimo spitz. He is soooooooo cute and sweet.
: ) i am happpppppy
WhiteWolfy thanks for your comment, it was fair and balanced. I live and breathe Shiba Inus, so I study these dogs deeply as well. I agree they are very sweet and gentle and yes they can be defensive at times and much more!! I had just read so many negative posts about how they are fighting dogs, vicious, and will rip your arm off. In Japan they used to be used as fighting dogs, with the keyword being “used”. They are one in six of the Japanese ancient breeds that are the closest DNA match to a wolf of all dogs. I will starting up the New England Shiba Rescue that never really took off and I will be working with the head of the NYC Shiba Rescue. They have stopped taking intakes, what with the economy being so bad. If anyone lives in the New England area and wants to volunteer, let me know!! Alos Merry Christmas everybody
also even … BOL
I have a 6 year old Shiba that has been a great dog. Any breed has members that display less than desireable behaviors and traits; the Shiba is no different. We have had a wonderful experience with ours. He is odorless, rarely needs grooming, is very quiet, great with kids, sits/shakes/rolls over, walks right into his crate when we are ready to leave, and has been great with other dogs. He does have a stubborn streak. When he is in the yard, he will NOT come in until he is ready to. He prefers to be by himself; definitely not a cuddler. He is a great dog. I would not hesitate to get another Shiba.
