Wow, lolcats and loldogs have really gone to hell. It used to be a nice, funny thing that we could enjoy and laugh at, despite the ads on the sides, but now they’ve become consumed with greed and have to put in a game sponsored by the 2 possibly worst corporations there are anywhere. Nice. I regret to say that, although I’ve been visiting since both sites were new, I will no longer be coming here unless these offensive games are removed. You have ruined this for me and countless others.
To all those whining: When does the happy little worker making toys in their basement become evil? When they have three people? Thirty?
When does animal testing become cruel? If you give some person food, saying “try it”, and they get sick, is it cruel?
Well I guess you don’t know how it works. IAMS simply feeds the food to the test animals, and then they cut out chunks of their flesh and vocal chords to see what happens. All of this time they keep them alive by feeding them antibiotics and other drugs, and they are kept in very small cages, soaking in their own urine and excrement. And where did the happy little worker in their basement come from? That just doesn’t happen in today’s world. There were enough ads already, and now there are more.

You are just putting salt on old, closed up wounds that don’t even matter anymore. IAMS was -NOT- at fault for the accusations you are claiming.
Let’s just take a little snippet of what “website” you are getting your claims from:

From 2002-2003, that was nearly seven/six years ago. Grow up, move on, get out of the past, ect ect.
The person went to work at SINCLAIR RESEARCH CENTER. While they may have been employeed by Iams, that doesn’t nesseccarily mean it -was- Iams. While they should be held responsible for FUNDING this research, of which they -WERE-, Iams was not the one conducting this research. Sinclair Research, may have been funded by Iams, they were their own business and what their agenda was strictly their own, not Iams.
Since then, appropriate matters have been taken, Iams severed their contact with Sinclair Research and they do at home food studies. Every pet they use in their research is found propper homes and -is not- put to sleep. There are laws against this, you think a popular brand such as Iams wouldn’t know these? Oh ofcourse they don’t, that’s why they are still in production, ya?
I’m also going to throw it out again that this was at most seven years ago, and stuff does change between then.
And PETA? Let’s not start on PETA. They care about as much of the welfare of animals as Ex-president Clinton cares about staying monogamous to his wife. Don’t mistake their money mongering and teenage popularity to be something valiant.
As an ending note. Do your research, and stop trying to pick fights over the internet using the bias material the “cool kids” are using. Because even in high school the cool kids are still a bunch of retards.
I’ve just a few things to say to you:
1) I said nothing about PeTA, you invented that part of the conversation in that messed up little head of yours.
2) People don’t think I’m “cool” for loving animals and being a vegetarian. I was harassed over the phone for 2 months and someone broke our glass storm door with a rock because of that.
3) The “cool kids” are always retards.
Please don’t open your mouth unless you intend to stuff your foot in it. Every response/post by you so far has been just that.
The “evidence” you are trying to shove down people’s throats was collected by an undercover “agent” of PETA. (Who, by the way, was hired to do a job that she overwhelmingly ignored so she could gather her “evidence”. Pot calling kettle syndrome methinks.) So yes, PETA was apart of your obsessive whining. You standing up and actually DEFENDING these claims, aswell as another comment you have made, blatantly states you are standing up for PETA and thus is apart of your “conversation”.
I have read your other posts over on the ICHC version of this game and it was your persistent whining that did me over the top. The damage had already been done, you just wanted to join on the wank-train with the rest of the already labeled “cool kids”.
My question to you, that someone has already commented to you on, is that if you have said your final fair-wells to ICHC and IHHD, why are you still, after two days of your initial comment still loitering around picking fights over the internets?
And, just an afterthought. I could really care less if you love animals, eat only vege, or have been harassed over the topic. I never said anything about your stature as an animal rights activist, maybe you should re-read my original comment to you other than the fact that you whine too much. The thread over in ICHC is pretty much evident of it, and the fact that you RAGE-QUIT ICHC only boosts what I have to say even more.
The facts stand, Iams may have funded Sinclair Research facility, but that does not mean that Iams was the one solely responsible. Iams may have known about the experiments, they might have not. Thing is, YOU don’t know. The investigating PETA activist was hired for a specific reason, to create a socializing program that benefited the animals involved with the Iams testing. Facts stand, she did not, she spent too much time with a cam-corder in her hand to actually do the job she was supposed to do. Does this make what went on at the research facility right? Ofcourse not, but she didn’t help anything by neglecting her duties she was being PAID for. I’m also going to back track here and put focus on the fact that the “evidence” was pulled from SINCLAIR RESEARCH- not necessarily IAMS RESEARCH. Sinclair Research is just that, a research facility. Meaning that they probably had multiple programs running, and unfortunately one of them was the ghastly images this activist collected. That does not mean that this specific research was being funded by Iams. And really, there isn’t much evidence to prove that it WAS. Regardless of the fact that Iams was funding this facility, that does not mean that they would, or would willingly work on research that only Iams requested.
For all you or I know that is what happened. For all you or I know, Iams had been to that facility and this testing and research was hidden from them, cleaned up and packed away. But, on the other hand, for all we know they could have actually requested this research, but it was still at the digression of SINCLAIR RESEARCH. Humans are fickle, and if you actually started thinking for yourself instead of listening and believing every single propaganda PETA strings out of their butthole, you’d realize this and you’d probably be a better, open-minded individual in the long run.
The sad thing is you probably realise this and the only reason you are trying to throw out personal insults is because you have nothing you can actually counter on the matter. In that case, it’d probably be best for you not to respond.
Wow. That was a mouthful. And you’re saying I’m the one doing the insulting? I’m just saying, what kind of evidence do you have that these practices still aren’t going on? I am aware of how long ago this happened, by the way. Maybe you’ll realize that I’m right someday, or maybe you’ll be dead. Maybe I’ll be dead (I hope) by the time this planet is so exhausted and polluted that we can no longer survive. Someday, someone will know I was right in my animal friendly practices. But let’s hope it doesn’t come to that, for the good of mankind. Also, these conclusions (my animal friendly beliefs) are of my own creation. I read many books on both sides of the equation and decided that the ones promoting vegetarianism sounded less delusional.
