omigosh I love corgis!
This is the perfect situation for pretending to drown so the cute lifeguard will save me!
TOTALLY, Corgis are like my 2nd favorite dog breed EVER. I think it would take all of them to save me from drowning, lol.
Oh, I think you’re underestimating them. I’d be willing to bet they’d attempt rescues at up to 15 inches of water!

I have to object to the use of the phrase “swimmers drowning”…if someone is drowning then they are not a swimmer.
OK- to set the record straight – my Corgi swims, in any depth, because he was taught at a young age. Smells like a wet sweater when wet, just like any other clean dog. And fetches sticks that are too big, and plays tug of war. Best dog EVER!

Why is this one not in the Corgi Dog Tag file?
These corgis, Pembrokes, do not have tails, and therefore will roll sideways in the water, like a football. Cardigan corgis have tails, endowed by God, to act like rudders in the water while swimming and to enable them to do flips after the initial nine inch water clearance, in addition to giving drowning victims a chance to hold onto something while dragging them back to shore.
