I *have* been a victim of genuine sexism... and it took me close to a year to stop seeing blatant mistreatment everywhere I looked. I had to get into the therapy to learn how to let it go and recognize situations for what they actually were. For some people the therapy either doesn't work, or they don't get any in the first place... or they subconsciously enjoy having been a victim because it allows them to intentionally or unintentionally (depending on the person) plead for sympathy wherever they go (which backfires after awhile, and people get sick of it, thus starting the 'victim' cycle all over again). I'm not condoning people crying sexism on a LOL board of all places... and I thin k if these people genuinely were discriminated against they need to get the necessary help sooner rather than later... but it is a possible explanation for the behavior.
