umm… no
not at all. it is a Newfoundlander. They are actually that huge. Largest Newfie dog on record weighed 120 kgs.
He’s actually a Newfoundland/Dane mix. His name is Samson, and his claim to fame is that he’s the largest dog in Britain, at least, if not the country or the world. He’s 6′5” on his hind legs and weighs over 275 pounds.
Looks like a newfoundland and yes they really are that huge!

Or possibly a rat terrier.
This could be a picture of my lab mix Max. He is 48” high at the nose. The smaller dog appears to be a JRT and one would look like this next to Max. My Beagle, though larger than a JRT, can walk right under Max’s belly.

This is probably a Great Dane/Newfoundland mix. And that is either a Jack Russell or a Parsons Russell Terrier.

Exactly what I was thinking – our Newfie looked like a bear (especially in winter!).
That CAN’T be a Newfie. The muzzle is too narrow and there is not waterfall of drool.

definitely not a newfie. seconded on the hair too short, muzzle too narrow.
but not all of them drool, especially if you find a good breeder.
Even well-bred Newfs will drool if they’re too hot.

NEwf Dan Mix is what that is indeed, mine was over 100lbs at 2years old and is still growing tall enough to stand on his hind legs and put his paws on my shoulders too ( I’m 6′3″ )
