Reminds me a lot of my old dog Keno, an Alaskan malamute. He actually did once eat an entire hershey’s bar (wrapper and all).
My Keeshond once ate a pound of cholocate fudge and half a pound of peanut butter fudge. I have no idea why he didn’t die on the spot.
I came home to find one of my small dogs had somehow gotten up high, and stolen most of a 1 LB baking chocolate bar. (This was before all the ‘toxic’ info went public)
I looked at her angrily saying, “Kelly, I hope you’re sick for two days, you goofy mutt!”(Purebred show poodle)
She paid me back by having diarrhea on the carpet the size of a dinner plate when we woke up the next morning.
Not sure what offended her the most, the sick part, or me calling her a mutt!
Milk Chocolate probably won’t actually kill a dog. It’s the dark chocolate that gets them. They do poop like crazy after eating it though, lol.
poor puppies, can’t have chocolate. my first christmas i got a cocker spaniel, he ate 2 lbs of fudge. he was a sick lil goggie.

Chocolate CAN be poison, but as long as its milk chocolate, the toxic dose is 2 oz. per kg. Which means even a teacup yorkie can steal a hershey kiss now and again and be okay.
Gum too is poison, but only sugarfree gum that contains xylatol (sp?).
Also, a small list to be added: raisins, onions, potato skins, garlic/garlic powder (in large quantities, because I know its in some dog products), tylenol (acetomenophen), ibuprofen, tomatoes, macademia nuts, and (of course) marijuana.
I work at an animal hospital, and know for a fact that most goggie owners don’t know about all the stuff that can be harmful for their beloved four-legged, furry kids
