The kid looks old enough to roll back over if needed.
They tell parents to put their child to sleep on their backs but if they roll over on their tummies (about 6 months) then they are fine.

The kid is fine. Number one if someone is taking a picture then that means someone is in the room….so right off the bat the kid should be ok.
Second of all the kid looks to be about the age where they can roll over, once they roll over the chance of sids is greatly reduced.

Very cute picture, but that was my first reaction too! At least push the covers down around the nose! The risk is higher with smaller babies, though, this one looks pretty good size. So maybe not fail, but the OCD mom in me wants to reach through time and cyberspace to fix that blanket anyhow.
look at the legs/butt area- and the face in the blanket, that’s a doll! I’ve raised four (now grown) kids- I know a real baby when I see one, trust me. It’s fake!!
I have a 2yr old….that is a real baby. Look at the face again, and the legs. What makes you so sure it’s a doll? Everything about it screams real baby to me.
