Oh Cry me a river… There is nothing wrong with this puppy. It is the nature of these dogs (Australian Sheherd) to fall asleep wherever… I have had several of these dogs and I can tell from the setting that it is on a farm or ranch and it has lots of places to get dirty and have lots of FUN and get worn out and TIRED and take a nap where ever he wants!!!!

This pic is just miserable. 1st, having crash test goggies is reel. not funneh. 2nd, da puppeh looks homeless, lost & in pain. SHOULD NOT be on a lolz website. shud b on an RSPCA site. it shud b removed.

Yes I agree, this is an Australian Shepherd they are very good cattle dogs, my dad raised them and we lived on a Ranch. This is typical for a Ranch dog and not a bit of cruelty at all, just a tired puppeh that fell asleep on a old bucket seat that has been removed for some reason.

ok everyone,this dog could be homeless,it might now be.
it could be alive,or dead.
nobody but the picture taker knows,but IN MY OPINION,this picture,whether the dog is fine or not,is NOT funny. to others,it might be,but whether the dog is playing dead or really dead,the caption is really bad. people acually used dogs in crash tests. FYI, I made only one comment, and it didn’t get posted at first, so I retyped it. (Yes, there are people in the world who don’t have properly functioning internet.) I’m not assuming the worst, I’m just saying this pic looks like he *might* be stray, because of both the broken car seat and his scruffiness, and I hoped that someone was atleast feeding him. If I’d been that serious about it being “sad” I wouldn’t have written in LOLspeak. Other commenters have reassured us, and we got the point, so back off already.

And BTW, we dont have an animal shelter, so I feed the strays here on occasion. Is that tangible enough for you?

As an Aussie owner, I can attest to the strange sleeping habits of the breed. This looks like an Aussie-X, a stock dog and one still in the puppyhood stage. And only him feets is dirty, him is blue merle- him sposseded to look liek dat. Him just tired from being puppeh.

No reason to assume he’s homeless, people. How many junky homes do you pass with all manner of crap in the yard? Maybe someone’s gutting/rebuilding their car. Geez. Looks like a mostly grown up puppeh, asleep on the farm. The steel fence behind his head is the type they use to hold in pigs, and other strong, heavy, but short animals.

He’s dirty because he’s been running around a farm. Farms are like that.

I often store my van seats in the garage, when they aren’t in the van. They’d be in the barn, if I had one. The bucket seat doesn’t look like its been out in the rain, so I assume we’re looking at the interior of an agricultural building.

Farmers only pay for spiffy floors if they need them. For example, the milking area of a dairy barn. That looks like it might have been concrete years ago, or perhaps it was always dirt.
