These animals are really fighting and I’m betting a second after this picture was taken that cat was seriously hurt. This is not funny.

I doubt it. I’ve seen cats and dogs in this situation more times than I can count and it usually ends up with a swat on the nose for the dog and then both retreating.

I have to agree. I know animals very well, that cat is likely a stray (who brings their cat to the beach anyway?) and is fighting for survival. The dog is ready to bite. I don’t want to know what happened to the cat after this photo was taken. Please remove it
I have both dogs and cats and know how they can interact. This picture is momentarily funny but the cat probably was badly hurt, and maybe the dog too. It should NOT be on this site!
As an owner of 3 cats and 2 dogs, I have to disagree with all of you who say this should be pulled. I’ve seen this scenario countless times, and I’m sure that doggy backed down after one pwn from the cat.
I have 3 cats and 2 dogs too. And if my ol’ street dog gets a hold of a feral cat, he kills. My cats are not allowed out. This picture should be pulled.

This site is about funny situations with animals, cats and dogs fight/chase each other all the time (when they don’t know each other).
At least this is a real life situation, not people putting their animals in all kinds of “funny” positions or cloths…..talking about sad….
Yeah! I have 7 dogs & 10 cats, ive seen this a kazillion times, the cat swats @ the dog, the dog runs, the cat runs.
I’d bet both of those babies are strays. That doggie’s teeth mean business.

I think a deal of you are being silly. It IS possible that one of the animals was hurt after this picture was taken, but I also have pets and when they fight they usually do not get seriously hurt. This could have turned out badly, but if it did, then the person taking the picture probably helped the wounded animal or got someone who did. This picture SHOULD NOT be removed, because it IS funny. You just have to stop worrying about the poor little animals. I would like to SHOOT poor little animals at times…squirrel meat, yum. But really, I don’t think anything drastically bad or life-changing for either of the animals occured.
In short, please get over it and enjoy the humor of this picture.
