This dog looks terrified. This is mean.
this is mah dog, he isnt terrified. He’s diving underwater for his toy, and he’s about to grab at it…that is why his mouf is open and his eyes have gotten huge. He’s a very intense doggie.

The dog looks frightened so this looks sad to me. It looks like a bulldog and they can’t swim, they sink.
Dogs love to swim. It is great exercise and it is a lot of fun for them.
More people should show this amount of love and care for their dog
and not just keep them in the back yard doing nothing. Orson is a
terrific dog and his owner is terrific, also. Dogs don’t sink – they swim.
Nearly every animal on the planet can swim. Sure he can swim. And as his owner above said, he is grapping for his toy. He is a very intense dog.
You internet nerds should go out and learn to recognize emotions on the faces of animals.
Oh goodness, this isn’t cruel, this is ORSON! THIS is what Orson lives and thrives on. He’s very toy driven bulldog, and you can see the intensity in his eyes prior to him retrieving his toy.

Lily & Mad – do either of you actually have dogs of your own? It is surprising the things that dogs like to do – that YOU might never think they would care for. If Orson were afraid of the water, he would not be jumping into it to go swimming. THINK – use that brain the good Lord gave you. And Lilly, bull dogs do not sink any more than any other breed of dog. They all swim the same way – dog paddle – but Orson likes to dive in addition to swimming. Do you seriously think someone could MAKE him dive?? *rolling eyes*

Orson is a STUD and yes he can swim. He loves water and his Ball. Thats the face of pure joy at retrieving his ball. I LOVE “O”
Orson loves the water, I could barely keep him out of my pond when he visited our house last year. He is not frightened either, that is a determined bulldog going after his toy.
People this dog loves to swim. He is the one that decides to dive, he’s not forced by any means. He swims better than I do. Don’t feel bad for him this is something The Big “O” enjoys. So just enjoy the picture.

My French Bulldog sinks like a stone. He cannot swim whatsoever. He used to be able to as a puppeh but not as an adult.

There is no call to be insulting people. Obviously nobody here knew the dog before the photo showed up, and there were no explanations along with the photo, so people are just showing concern.

Letting your bulldog stay healthy, get exercise= Loving and caring
Not allowing your bulldog to workout it’s energy drive and stressing out your dog= MEAN
Allowing your bulldog to play in confines of his own home= Good parenting
